Nous commen\u00e7ons par descendre jusqu\u2019au barrage d\u2019Ossoue o\u00f9 nous avions un moment envisag\u00e9 de bivouaquer hier soir. Beaucoup de tentes, la cabane est occup\u00e9e, et surtout beaucoup de vaches, du coup nous ne regrettons absolument pas notre d\u00e9cision d\u2019avoir finalement fait \u00e9tape un peu plus t\u00f4t !<\/p>\n<p>Depuis le barrage, nous commen\u00e7ons par remonter le torrent \u00e0 plat jusqu\u2019au fond de la vall\u00e9e. Nous rencontrons un immense troupeau de brebis et rattrapons une randonneuse qui s\u2019est arr\u00eat\u00e9e au bord du chemin et scrute. Arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 son niveau, elle nous explique qu\u2019elle a une peur bleue des patous. Nous traversons ensemble le troupeau et constatons qu\u2019aucun patou ne se trouve dans les parages. En discutant un peu, nous apprenons que cette randonneuse fait une balade \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e pour gravir le petit Vigemale (3032m). Nous lui souhaitons bonne route car elle marche plus vite que nous.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois atteint le fond de la vall\u00e9e, le chemin s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve en suivant le torrent des Oulettes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mont\u00e9e vers Baysselance (1\/2)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Une fois au soleil, nous d\u00e9couvrons sur notre gauche une vue sur le glacier du Vignemale (ou du moins ce qu\u2019il en reste), et nous arr\u00eatons devant les grottes Bellevue (am\u00e9nag\u00e9es au d\u00e9but du 20e si\u00e8cle par un certain Russel qui avait lou\u00e9 le Vignemale et y avait fait creuser ces class=\"wp-caption-text\">Refuge de Baysselance<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Le refuge est \u00e0 taille humaine et charmant, et il offre une vue magnifique sur la vall\u00e9e d\u2019Ossoue, le petit Vignemale et la Pique Longue (point culminant du Vignemale \u00e0 3298m, et point culminant des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es fran\u00e7aises). Au refuge de Baysselance nous retrouvons notre randonneuse qui s\u2019est offert une pause g\u00e2teau en terrasse. Nous l\u2019imitons et ne le regretterons pas : le g\u00e2teau au chocolat qu\u2019on nous sert est d\u00e9licieux ! Je n\u2019ai pas compt\u00e9 le nombre de \u00ab bonjour \u00bb adress\u00e9s aux personnes que nous avons crois\u00e9es, mais je pense que le terme d\u2019autoroute \u00e0 randonneurs n\u2019est pas exag\u00e9r\u00e9 pour designer cet itin\u00e9raire.<\/p>\n<p>Le refuge des Oulettes de Gaube, que nous atteignons vers 11h30, est deux \u00e0 trois fois plus grand que celui de Baysselance, et surtout il est entour\u00e9 d\u2019un grand nombre de randonneurs. Verdict : celui de Baysselance \u00e9tait bien meilleur. Nous croisons sur la terrasse un HRPiste Ouest \/ Est avec qui nous \u00e9changeons quelques informations.<\/p>\n<p>Il nous reste encore 4 heures de marche avant notre destination, le refuge de Wallon Marcadau. Nous commen\u00e7ons par une mont\u00e9e bien raide dans la caillasse (\u00e7a nous avait manqu\u00e9 <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"smilies\" title=\"Clin d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00c5\u201cil\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.apran.fr\/images\/smilies\/icon_e_wink.gif\" alt=\";)\" width=\"15\" height=\"17\" \/>) jusqu\u2019au col des Mulets 450 m\u00e8tres plus haut. La mont\u00e9e en plein soleil nous inqui\u00e9tait mais finalement le m\u00eame miracle que le jour pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents s\u2019est produit : quelques nuages et un petit vent nous ont bien soulag\u00e9s. Le chemin n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s roulant et cela sera malheureusement le cas jusqu\u2019au refuge. Wallon est le plus grand refuge des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es, il peut accueillir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 120 personnes, et le moins que l\u2019on puisse dire c\u2019est que l\u2019architecte a vu grand : par rapport au refuge du Portillon qui accueille 80 personnes, il est facilement 2 \u00e0 3 fois plus grand ! Et l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur, laissant la part belle au bois et \u00e0 d&rsquo;immenses surfaces vitr\u00e9es, est vraiment splendide.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avions appel\u00e9 le refuge la veille depuis Gavarnie, et ils nous avaient annonc\u00e9 \u00eatre complets. Mais en arrivant nous avons la bonne surprise d\u2019apprendre que suite \u00e0 des annulations nous pourrons y loger ce soir. Cerise sur le g\u00e2teau, nous serons dans un dortoir de 4 personnes, et quel espace : dans un refuge \u00ab classique \u00bb un pi\u00e8ce de cette taille accueillerait au moins 8 ou 10 personnes ! Apr\u00e8s avoir pris nos douches et fait notre lessive, nous interrogeons le g\u00e9rant sur les options qui s\u2019offrent \u00e0 nous pour rejoindre Arremoulit et Pombie : l&rsquo;itin\u00e9raire le plus direct \u00e0 l\u2019Ouest par le col de la Fache, ou bien un d\u00e9tour par le Nord via le refuge de Larribet et le port du Lavedan ? Verdict sans appel : la seconde option bien que plus longue, est magnifique !<\/p>\n<p>Nous nous fions donc \u00e0 ses conseils et pr\u00e9voyons de partir demain t\u00f4t pour Larribet en esp\u00e9rant \u00e9viter la d\u00e9gradation de fin de journ\u00e9e, et rallier Pombie depuis Larribet le lendemain. Restera ensuite pour moi une ultime micro \u00e9tape Pombie \/ Lacs d&rsquo;Ayous le surlendemain avant de dire adieu \u00e0 la HRP <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"smilies\" title=\"Triste\" src=\"https:\/\/forum.apran.fr\/images\/smilies\/icon_e_sad.gif\" alt=\":(\" width=\"15\" height=\"17\" \/>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dimanche 11 ao\u00fbt \ufeff\ufeff Nous avons bien fait de d\u00e9serter la cabane hier soir, nous avons pass\u00e9 une nuit excellente sous la tente. Nous commen\u00e7ons par descendre jusqu\u2019au barrage d\u2019Ossoue o\u00f9 nous avions un moment envisag\u00e9 de bivouaquer hier soir. Beaucoup de tentes, la cabane est occup\u00e9e, et surtout beaucoup de vaches, du coup nous ne regrettons absolument pas notre d\u00e9cision d\u2019avoir finalement fait \u00e9tape un peu plus t\u00f4t ! Depuis le barrage, nous commen\u00e7ons par remonter le torrent \u00e0 plat jusqu\u2019au fond de la vall\u00e9e. Nous rencontrons un immense troupeau de brebis et rattrapons une randonneuse qui s\u2019est arr\u00eat\u00e9e au bord du chemin et scrute. Arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 son niveau, elle nous explique qu\u2019elle a une peur bleue des patous. Nous traversons ensemble le troupeau et constatons qu\u2019aucun patou ne se trouve dans les parages.
